Operation Stoke is building a community, join us as we share the stoke with upcoming events and exciting news!

Operation Stoke got to know Jacob Pacheco when he reached out to Dave Moore at DMZ Surfboards in the fall of 2023 to order his first custom surfboard. Jacob is an adaptive athlete who surfs prone and competes with Team USA as a surfer in ISA Para Surfing competitions. He has often struggled and yet overcomes against all odds during his remarkable career as an athlete with cerebral palsy. He is also a motivational speaker who shares his unique story to help uplift others.

As Dave and Janessa of DMZ Surfboards and Operation Stoke got to know Jacob better they were completely captivated by his beaming personality and impressive story of overcoming some very difficult surgeries as a child that doctors thought would leave him unable to walk.

His mental strength and physical perseverance brought him to where he is now, not only able to walk, but also to train, drive, swim and surf, not to mention competing in the 2023 ISA Para Surfing World Championships with Team USA. His pure connection to the joy of surfing and his true spirit of stoke inspired Operation Stoke to sponsor him with a set of specialty fins he needed for his new DMZ Surfboard that he surfed in the competition.

Now we are working on a plan with Jacob and his surf coach Timothy to help support his next goals of competing in other international competitions. He will certainly need a few surfboards for various surf conditions as well as financial support for competition fees, travel expenses and coaching support.

We are looking forward to finding the right kind of grants, sponsorships, donations and other opportunities to make Jacob's dreams into a reality. Please contact us directly if you have any ideas. We are all in this together and nothing feels better than sharing the stoke!

Help support a cancer survivor's battle and get an amazing piece of art too!

Devon Steigerwald is a well known professional photographer who also spends much of her free time volunteering for dog rescues and helping others in any way she can.

She is continuing to fight her 2nd battle with breast cancer, which has been ongoing for the past few years, as she received her first diagnosis at the beginning of the 2020 lockdowns in Los Angeles and has survived multiple rounds of treatments, surgeries and ongoing medical needs.

She has fought hard and is in the process of winning her battle, but it has been a struggle to recover financially from her inability to work at the full extent she once did with her specialty in the highly physical action sport photography and commercial photography industries.

She is continuing to work as much as she can with her limitations but has also just released her first fine art limited edition print from her archives of over 20 years of epic images that have never before been seen by the public.

Read her statement below the image and click the pink buttons to get your own copy directly from the artist via Venmo or Zelle.

That’s right, I said it! I have kept my archives locked away for almost 20 years but I’m opening them up with a release of a limited edition print in support of not only Breast Cancer, but my battle with it for the last 2 1/2 years during COVID.

Not sure you want to buy anything, but still open to donating a few bucks to help out?

You can always use Venmo or Zelle to send her a few bucks when you can. Every dollar counts right now and it's hard for her to ask for help directly. That's why we are stepping in... We are doing what we can with our small charity to help her bridge the gap and we hope you will do the same and tell her OpStoke sent ya!
